The Nightcap Tunnel Plug Project was delivered in 2019 which comprised of a 4.5m diameter 20m deep shaft with a short 10m adit connecting into the existing tunnel built in the 1960’s. Within the the existing tunnel the team installed a new tunnel plug with a mass pour concrete solution. Given the remote location of the site, the logistical challenges were successfully planned and project was delivered on time and to budget.
